Bicourtney & Federal Ministry of Works sign N90 billion concession agrement for Lagos-Ibadan Express way.
Speaking at a ceremony to sign the 25-year concession agreement with Bi-Courtney Consortium, concessionaires of the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway, the minister noted that Nigerians’ response to call by government for partnership to rescue the nation’s ailing infrastructure was a demonstration of the people’s faith in the nation. Nitel privatisation terminated and Technical Board to be approved.
The Federal Government announced on Monday, June 1, 2009, the revocation of the sale of  Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (Nitel) and its mobile subsidiary, M-Tel, to Transnational Corporation (Transcorp) Plc, citing “breach” of contractual terms. ( See Details>>> )

SGFand 36 SSGs Discusses PPP in Minna.
The office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and all the 36 Secretaries to State Government (SSGs) will converge in Minna for the 3rd bi-annual retreat. In a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the SGF, Mr. Yusuf Addy, the meeting will hold on the 4th and 5th of June at Minna. ( See Details>>> )

Public Private Partnership (PPP) for the Construction, Rehabilitation, Up-Grading and Modernisation of Federal Foads, February, 2009.
The Federal Ministry of Works, Housing & Urban Development, in October, 2008 advertised a number of major federal highways, inviting Expression of Interest (EOI) from investors for the construction, rehabilitation or up-grading/modernization of a number of federal highways as Road Concessions under the Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) scheme of the Ministry’ Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Programme. Rivers State on its way to enact PPP bill, March 2009.
The Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi led administration of Rivers State is on its way to enact a Public-Private Partnership bill. To achieve this, a number of seminars/workshops are organized by the State Government; and several articles are presented by different companies, agencies, etc. The most recent of these seminars/workshops was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, and it was tagged "WORKSHOP ON THE RIVERS STATE PPP POLICY FRAMEWORK & PROPOSED RIVERS STATE PUBLIC-PRIVATE INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT BILL ".
