About Us
The is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation founded in 2009. It is a forum for the brightest ideas and innovations in the partnership arena and its membership, as the name connotes, comprises of notables in the public as well as the private sector. Our membership, in line with our constitution, is open to both individuals and sponsors.
As proponents of the concept of
Public-Private Partnerships (PPP's), The FPPP,Nigeria, conducts
research, publishes findings, facilitates forums for
discussion and sponsors seminars/Conferences on topics related
to PPP's in Nigeria.
FPPPN offers influential speakers to
provide information on the value of Public-Private
Partnerships and to share best practices in a wide variety of
sectors. As a renown voice on the topic of
Public-Private Partnerships (P3), The FPPPN provides support to
political officials and decision-makers in investigating and
developing partnerships with the private sector.
Also, FPPPN strives to create opportunities for
the private sector to work with government on PPP(P3) projects that
cover the spectrum, from simple contracts to full
privatizations.
FPPPN was foundered in 2009 by Engr. Saidu Njidda, MBA, whose interest is to bring about the much anticepated development and progress in Nigerian through advocacy for P3s.
The Board
of Trustees of FPPPN is made up of senior/renown persons in
business, government and labour across Nigeria. The Chairman of the BOT, Dr. Mohammed Hassan, is the Koguna (Durbir Kano).
Our Aims/Objectives
To advocate and facilitate credible private sector involvement with and participation in the delivery of public goods and services and the construction, implementation, ownership and operation of public facilities.
To liaise with Government and Government infrastructural Agencies with a view to enhancing the overall policy objectives of Government as it relates to Public Private Partnership and to assist in removing impediments to implementation of public private partnership.
To create awareness aimed at educating the general public to the understanding of the roles of public, and private sector in our development needs.
To facilitate communication between public and private sector members with respect to issues relating to the implementation of public private partnerships.
To identify, sponsor, support, participate and promote research into the use of public-private partnerships for the provision of public services and public facilities.
To provide a forum for the coordination and exchange of information relating to the use of public private partnerships for the provision of public services and public facilities and further provide input to the public dialogue in support of the use of public private partnership.
To analyse all pertinent legislation and propose appropriate reviews required to enhance the effectiveness of public private partnerships.
To educate its members and the public as to the benefits of the use of public private partnerships in the provision of public services and public facilities and conduct educational, training and other activities in public private partnership.
Facilitate transparency, accountability and corrupt free public private partnership in Nigeria and serve as a facilitator for foreign direct investment into Nigeria.
To inject innovations in the public private partnership for mass employment generation and to liaise and facilitate international cooperation, dialogue, funding in support of activities of public private partnership.
To engage in promotional activities and work in concert with government and non-government agencies and institutions local and foreign, towards the attainment of goal of sustainable development, in furtherance of aims and objective of the Foundation.
